Specimen terms of reference - NHS foundation trust non-executive directors remuneration committee

Under the National Health Service Act 2006, one of the roles of the board of governors of NHS foundation trusts is to decide the remuneration, allowances and terms of office for the trust's non-executive directors. This guidance note provides details of the legal and regulatory requirements, and best practice, surrounding the remuneration of non-executive directors in NHS foundation trusts.
