No organisation is immune, says Michael Gardner
Barely a week goes by without a report hitting the headlines revealing yet another breach of data security. It would seem no organisation is immune from this damaging phenomenon: recent examples have included banks, multinational companies, charities and government bodies. All have suffered the embarrassment of losing customer information or other personal details and often this has caused reputational damage.
If this were not worrying enough, there are some unpleasant legal consequences...
