The value of research for companies and organisations
It might surprise you to know that British universities boast several hundred academics whoare corporate governance experts. You may not have heard of any of them. It seems that we hear plenty from pundits, politicians, and policy makers when stories of shareholder activism or corruption make the headlines, but the academic voice is much quieter. Either academics have nothing useful to say about corporate governance or perhaps practitioners are overlooking their research.
