Early on 27 May in Zurich, Swiss police arrived at a five-star hotel at which a Fifa meeting was due to be held. The police arrested six Fifa executives over the bidding process for the 2018 Russia World Cup and the 2022 Qatar World Cup. Fifa President Sepp Blatter and UEFA President Michel Platini were also accused of being involved with corruption.
