Company Secretary

PwC’s Entity Governance and Compliance (“EGC”) department operates within the Tax & Legal Services practice. Our EGC team consists of over 10 professionals who specialise in the provision of high-quality business support to clients.  The group provides a full range of company secretarial compliance and advisory services together with corporate governance advice to a wide range of indigenous and multinational clients.

Our EGC services are complimented by the other administration service offerings of the wider Company Administration Services department including accounting and employee share scheme support.  We also work closely with our colleagues in the Tax, Assurance and Advisory practices.

The Role:

A position for an associate to assist with the management of a substantial portfolio of clients to include all aspects of company secretarial compliance, special assignments and in particular, corporate restructuring, corporate governance and other special company secretarial work.  An opportunity in the role to develop your business and management skills and create new business opportunities by networking internally and externally. 


  • Assisting with the management of portfolio of clients to ensure compliance, in particular regarding annual return and AGM deadlines, as well as with all aspects of company law
  • Assisting with restructurings / reorganisations
  • Assisting with corporate governance projects
  • Training of other team members once established in the role
  • Building relationships with other departments
  • Identifying business opportunities
  • Keeping abreast of all current and proposed legislative changes
  • Identify where efficiencies can be delivered and implementing change
  • Occasional special projects for clients/internal PwC
  • Assistance with Risk Management 

Education / Professional Qualifications:

  • Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) or working towards qualification

Experience Skills and Personal Qualities:

  • Over two years’ experience working in a Company Secretarial role
  • Experience of using company secretarial software packages
  • Strong knowledge of Companies Act 2014
  • Ability to work on own initiative / a self-starter
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • A methodical approach to work 
  • Highly organised individual with excellent personal time management skills  
  • Proven commitment to achieving deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent business writing and minute taking skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Diligent
