Company Secretarial Manager

Due to continued business growth, a well-established Accountancy Practice now wishes to recruit a Company Secretarial Manager.

This role can be offered on a part-time/flexible basis and will suit an experienced Company Secretary who will be responsible for managing a small team and developing systems and procedures as the function is expanded to suit client needs

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day to day management of the Secretariat function, delivering an efficient and effective company secretarial service
  • Responsibility for monitoring workload and training and development of small team
  • Managing a large portfolio of clients
  • Advising clients in relation to their statutory compliance obligations
  • Preparing annual returns and other statutory form
  • Advising on and preparing documentation in relation to change of name, change of articles, transfer of shares, amendment to share capital etc.
  • Maintaining statutory registers, including company secretarial database
  • Drafting minutes for board meetings and AGMs/EGMs
  • Occasional attendance at board meetings and taking minutes
  • Dealing with daily queries and requests from clients, auditors and solicitors
  • Responsibility for billing clients and for debt collection
  • Arranging for notarisation and apostilling of documents


  • ICSA or part-ISCA qualified would be an advantage
  • Experience either in-house, or from Audit/Law Practice
  • People management experience would be ideal, but not a pre-requisite
