We have an exciting opportunity for two Governance Officers, to join our Mutuals Team to support the compliance and governance within our mutual schemes.
Reporting to the Head of Mutuals, you’ll be involved in reviewing financial accounts and presenting them appropriately to our residents. You’ll be integral in arranging and conducting Annual and Special General Meetings and transacting any governance issues in line with the mutual’s rules and any statute/regulations. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including the mutual’s committee to foster collaborative working relationships to ensure that our mutual schemes are run effectively and demonstrate good governance.
Your base location will be our central Birmingham office, and you’ll be required to undertake regular travel in line with business requirements.
Our ideal candidate?
You’ll have a sound financial understanding, supported by a finance or business related qualification or proven experience. You’ll have knowledge of accounts and ledgers, with an understanding of regulatory and legislative compliance and best practice. You’ll demonstrate your effective time management ability and organisational skills, using your initiative and problem solving ability. Within this role you’ll need to be comfortable working in a multi-site environment, working both individually and in a team. Presentation skills are key in this role, as well as being able to communicate with a range of stakeholders and influence others.
