Assistant Company Secretary

Job Overview

Working in a tight knit and well respected governance department the Assistant Company Secretary provides support to the Group Company Secretary on a wide range of duties.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Attending board/committee/charity meetings and follow up on post meeting requirements;
  • Preparation for board and committee meetings (drafting agendas; reports and meeting packs including circulation of) via Diligent Entities Board App and other means;
  • Management of UK statutory filings and liaising with internal and external contacts in relation to the same for certain international filings;
  • Maintaining Diligent Entities database and other company secretarial records;
  • Managing annual meeting planner (liaising with UK and international contacts to  schedule meeting dates);
  • Assist UK and International group companies with a wide range of corporate governance and reporting requirements;
  • Drafting resolutions and other corporate documentation for UK and international group companies; and
  • Ad-hoc projects and general administration duties.


Key Competencies

  • Experience with attending meetings and taking minutes;
  • ICSA qualified or pursuing ICSA qualification preferred;
  • Strong administration skills, accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Good communication skills with ability to build relationships at all levels;
  • Able to plan and prioritise own workload to meeting deadlines;
  • Financial services background preferred but not essential;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft (Word and Outlook) and Diligent Entities Board App and Database.
