About the trust
SEAX Trust is a multi-academy trust of special schools formed in 2011. The trust is located in Essex and currently caters for approximately 520 students aged between 5-19 with special and additional educational needs. SEAX Trust consists of four Special School Academies; Grove House School, Kingswode Hoe, Thriftwood School and College and Langham Oaks School.
Each academy offers its own specialist provision, supporting students with speech and language difficulties, or those with Moderate Learning Difficulties and additional complex needs. Langham Oaks School is an all-boys residential school for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The trust is expanding, with The Hawthorns, a new free school offering residential provision for children with autism, due to be opened in 2020. The trust currently operates within a budget of £10 million.
