INTERIM Governance Manager / Assistant Company Secretary vacancy based in Manchester in Housing
Your new company
This housing association is head-quartered in Greater Manchester and is recruiting for a Governance Manager, with excellent knowledge of housing regulations; to lead a small governance team and ensure compliance and best practice in housing.
Your new role
As Deputy Company Secretary, you will work closely with the executive team including the CEO and lead on regulatory compliance matters. You will be responsible for managing a small team to deliver on a range of corporate governance requirements including statutory compliance, corporate policies, high quality board support and board appraisals. This role will be offered on a 12 month fixed term contract basis and you will be expected to uphold and maintain high standards of regulatory compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) and advise the business on governance matters.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a proven track record of successfully performing in a company secretarial / corporate governance role within the housing sector with a solid understanding of the RSH / HCA regulations. You will have strong working knowledge of governance principles with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills as you will be engaging with board members and key stakeholders. You will ideally have line management or supervisory experience and you must be available to start in either December 2019 or January 2020.
