Governance Officer

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to join our busy team providing a professional governance and company secretarial service to the university, its board of governors, committees and subsidiaries.

Reporting to the Deputy University Secretary, the post will be responsible for maintaining and developing the forward plans for the LSBU Board of Governors, servicing the LSBU Board's committees and advising on succession planning for the LSBU Board of Governors.

Educated to degree level, you should have work experience of a busy company secretarial department or similar regulatory function and be qualified or working towards qualification as a GradICSA or a chartered secretary (ACIS), or similar governance or legal qualification. 

You should be proactive, have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to form collaborative professional relationships and have the ability to manage a wide and varied workload to tight deadlines while maintaining the highest standards.

The ability to deal politely and professionally with all members of the university and external professionals is essential to the role.
