We’re looking for a customer-focused individual with energy, experience and a strong sense of purpose to join us as a Head of Governance and Company Secretarial.
The UK has a housing problem. This affects every one of us, because housing is the foundation of the society we live in. Catalyst is part of the solution. You could be too. One of the UK’s leading housing associations, Catalyst is here to make a purposeful difference by providing housing solutions for those who can’t afford a home without our help. We offer a wide range of homes, for rent, part ownership or purchase. By doing so, we build more than homes – we build communities. We're at a particularly exciting point in our story, having recently merged with another large housing association, Aldwyck. The merger makes us stronger and more able to deliver our social purpose - in every part of our organisation. We’re always seeking to do better. If you are too, read on.
You will lead the governance and company secretarial function ensuring Catalyst and its subsidiaries meet all legal and regulatory requirements. You will organise, prepare and deliver the overall governance cycle for all of Catalyst’s legal entities, including scheduling meetings, managing agendas and papers. You will be providing advice, guidance and training to board members and senior stakeholders to ensure we comply with all relevant regulatory and legislative requirements. You will assist the Director of Governance and Compliance with constitutional governance and will be responsible for providing overall management, development and training for the team. You will also be responsible for the management and control of relevant budgets within the tight parameters, ensuring value for money for all expenditure.
You will identify and remove pain points and consistently lead others to do the same. You will have the ability to plan and manage your own workload to achieve tight deadlines under pressure. You will possess good communications skills with an ability to communicate complex information to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Extensive experience as a company Secretary in a similar organisation, operating at a similar level is a must as well as excellent IT skills with a detailed understanding of Blueprint and Diligent.
