Data Protection and GDPR

ICSA Jersey lunch time seminar with speaker Advocate Davida Blackmore, of Callington Chambers. Davida will provide an overview of current data protection policies and processes and consider how they are likely to change in light of the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) directive.

What’s the silver bullet for segregation of income and capital when managing trust funds with UK exposure?

Led by Adrian Kemp, Managing Director, Retirement Services at Brooks Macdonald, this lunchtime session will focus on:

  • Segregation of income and capital as a key benefit (as well as) reducing the reporting work for UK RND portfolios
  • Ability to access UK situs assets with portfolios that have a specific non-UK situs restriction
  • Reducing the cost on the portfolio through the acquisition of direct securities rather than non-UK funds
  • Increasing returns through deferral of taxes (CGT and Income taxable assets)

Adrian joined Brooks Macdonald in 2014 and leads the private client arm of our international business. Adrian worked at DPZ Capital Limited before its acquisition by Brooks Macdonald, the Royal Bank of Canada and Abacus Financial Services Group. He has over 29 years' experience in financial services.
Adrian is a Chartered Financial Planner, a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI). He is also a CISI Chartered Wealth Manager.

Jersey Annual Dinner & Awards 

The ICSA Jersey Annual Dinner, Awards & Graduation took place at the Hotel de France on Friday 30 September 2016. The black-tie event celebrated this year’s successes, together with an awards ceremony to congratulate those that had achieved triumph. 

Thank you to all those that attended the dinner, and special thanks to those who contributed to the funds raised to support Help a Jersey Child.
