The Chartered Governance Institute maintains a presence in the Isle of Man through its local Branch Council. The Council strives to enhance the presence of the Institute within the Isle of Man, to support members and students throughout their careers and study programmes, as qualified or aspiriing chartered secretaries.
The Council is maintained in accordance with a strict set of guidelines, or constitution. The constitution is bespoke to the Council's needs and operations and allows for a flexible approach towards providing support to and enhancing the presence of members and students of The Chartered Governance Institute in the Isle of Man.
The Council works alongside other Branches of the Institute to ensure a consistent and applied approach across all areas, as well as working with The Chartered Governance Institute on the development of new programmes, products and reports.

Chris spent 15 years as an accountant/auditor in Dorset before moving to the Isle of Man in 1997. He qualified as Chartered Secretary in 2006 and became a Fellow in 2013.
He is currently an Assistant Manager at IQ-EQ in Douglas.
Julia graduated with a BA Honours degree in English Studies and qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Secretaries & Administrators in 2011. She is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Julia currently works as a Head of HR for a local company and also supports the board with corporate matters. Previously, she carried out a roles as an HR Consultant, HR Manager and Assistant Company Secretary.
Julia became a Council Member in 2017 and became Branch Secretary in 2019.
Born on the Isle of Man, Francesca was educated locally at St Ninian’s High School.
After leaving school, Francesca began working for Integrated Capabilities Limited as a Company & Trust Administrator and successfully completed the Isle of Man Offshore certificate in administration. After completing this, she commenced her professional studies and qualified as a Chartered Secretary. She now works at IQE Limited as a Client Relationship Manager and has over 10 years experience in the industry.
Francesca became an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in 2011.
Anna left full time education at the age of 18 and has worked for Sovereign Trust (Isle of Man), a local CSP, since. Keen to develop her knowledge she undertook her Level 4 Certificate in International Finance and Administration completing it with a Merit Grade and is currently finalising her Level 5 Diploma in International Finance and Administration.
With a strong 8 years in the financial services industry Anna is always on hand to assist with any questions that existing or potential students may have.
Juan Moore is a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute with in excess of 25 years administrative and accounting experience working primarily in the fiduciary sector, managing complex structures for high net worth clients sitting on the board of client companies. Juan has been CEO of the IOM Law Society for the past five years where he has implemented significant changes to the efficiency and governance of the Society.
