Mentors wanted

Irish Region Mentoring Programme

Following the success of our mentoring programme introduced at the start of the year, we are pleased to announce a second programme as a result of demand.

As you know this is a free initiative where The Chartered Governance Institute members in Ireland are matched with our students and members who have indicated that they wish to have a mentor.

We are now asking members and students who would like to take part in this second programme as either a mentor or mentee, to register their interest. Mentees are entitled to up to six, one hour mentoring meetings.

The programme will be led by Lesley Ward, a qualified coach for governance professionals, and Branch Liaison & Mentoring Manager. The programme will run on a strictly confidential basis and no details of conversations between the mentor and mentee will be shared outside of that relationship.

See this article from G+C magazine for more information.

If you are unable to make this date but would be interested in attending future training, please email jburns@icsa.org.uk and John will ensure you are made aware of future dates for Irish mentors.

Would you like to be mentored?

Following the training there will be a pool of mentors in Ireland so if you are interested in being allocated a mentor please email mentoring@icsa.org.uk in confidence and you will be matched with a mentor.

Please make it clear that you are based in Ireland when you enquire so you can be matched with a local mentor.

To take part in the scheme as a mentor or a mentee you need to be a current Chartered, Graduate, Affiliated or Student member of The Chartered Governance Institute

If you have any queries about becoming a mentor or about applying for a mentor do not hesitate to contact Lesley on lward@icsa.org.uk.

Numbers on the programme are limited so we would encourage members and students to register their interest as soon as possible and by Friday 18 October 2019 at the latest. We wish participants well in their endeavours.
