Board Effectiveness and Performance - Cork, Wednesday 27th March.

This event which takes place in the UCC Centre for Executive Education, 1 Lapps Quay, Cork will examine how the company secretary can facilitate their board’s effectiveness and performance, and influence the directors on the merits and benefits of an objective board performance evaluation. The event will be led by David O'Callaghan, who is a partner in Board Excellence and an experienced board and governance professional having served as Group Company Secretary at Allied Irish Banks, p.l.c. (“AIB”), a large, publicly-listed, international financial services organisation.

Risk Management and the Company Secretary - Dublin, Tuesday 2nd April.

This event takes place in the offices of BDO, Mercer Street Lower, Dublin 2.  Gerard Joyce, Chief Technology Officer of CalQRisk, will explain the fundamentals of risk management and what is involved when an organisation decides to address it formally. Gerard will be joined by David Devereux, Director Risk and Advisory Services at BDO for a Panel session.
