The Companies Registration Office published the following note on their website last Friday, September 4th, effectively pushing out the start date of their new on-line filing system to December.
‘As we approach the proposed go live date, we have been re-evaluating the situation and taking on board the concerns of all stakeholders.
Many are still experiencing difficulties brought about by uncertain working arrangements as we continue to live and work with the impacts of COVID-19.
We have therefore decided to postpone go-live until December after the key peak periods have passed.
We feel this is the best way to ensure that when the new system goes live it will seamlessly provide all the benefits to stakeholders and the Office.
The revised timetable for December go-live will be published in the coming weeks.’
As members may know, the Institute had made a submission in this regard to the CRO at the end of August. We now welcome this change as a number of our members had concerns about the proposed launch during the busy annual filing season.
A copy of the most recent webinar held by the CRO in August where the forthcoming changes were discussed, is included here.
