Welcome to the latest edition of Agenda.
The deadline for converting private limited companies to DACs is 31 August 2016 and to LTDs is 30 November 2016. To avoid delays in converting, it is important to hold the necessary board / general meetings and arrange for the filings with the CRO well in advance of the above deadlines.

On 23 June 2016 the UK voted to leave the European Union. At this stage it is difficult to assess the impact this decision will have as it depends on the terms of the UK’s exit. We are reviewing the potential impacts of Brexit on Irish companies and will provide an update in the next edition of Agenda.
I am also looking for volunteers who may be interested in participating on our Irish Region Committees. If you are interested in getting involved, please email Caroline at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We continue to hold CPD events on all aspects of corporate governance and company law. Please check out our website for details of upcoming events.

There have been a number of blogs posted over the last few months on topics relevant to company secretaries. Read here.
A calendar of events is available through the Networking and Events tab of the website and I would encourage members to attend as many events as possible and to become an active member of the ICSA in Ireland. Please note that these events are also open to non-members so if you have any colleagues or friends who may be interested in attending, please urge them to come along.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank William Fry Solicitors for contributing to this edition of Agenda. Should you have any queries in relation to any of the above articles please do not hesitate to contact me at email@example.com
