Welcome to the latest edition of Agenda.
Sara Drake formally took the helm at the end of June and we wish her every success. The August edition of Governance + Compliance contains an interview with Sara and is well worth a read. Best of luck Sara.
I would urge you visit the webpage and to connect with us through our LinkedIn page.
As you will be aware the Register of Beneficial Ownership (RBO) launched on 29th July. Our featured Agenda article focuses on the RBO. Please note that we will be holding an RBO CPD event on 10th September in Matheson Solicitors, Sir John Rogerson’s Quay – please see our events page on our website for more details.
As summer leaves us behind, we have a wide range of CPD events, meetings and training programmes planned for the autumn. Full details of all our autumn activities are on the front page of our website and also on the calendar of events for the second half of 2019 which has now been sent to members and students. I would encourage members and students to attend as many events as possible and to become an active member of the ICSA in Ireland. Please note that these events are also open to non-members so if you have any colleagues or friends who may be interested in attending, please urge them to come along.
If you know of any students or colleagues who might be interested in pursuing a career as a Chartered Secretary / Governance Professional, they can contact us on our email address and our Business Development Manager, John Burns, will be pleased to follow up with them.
We offer a service for members and students where they can receive weekly emails highlighting the latest vacancies for company secretaries and governance professionals. Sign up to receive these alerts.
There have been a number of blogs posted over the last few months on topics relevant to Company Secretaries. Read more.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank William Fry and Aoife Kavanagh for contributing to this edition of Agenda. Should you have any queries in relation to any of the above articles please do not hesitate to contact me.
