We have held two CPD events since the last Agenda, one on Minute taking and one on General Data Protection Regulations (’GDPR’) where Helen Dixon FCIS, Data Protection Commissioner presented on GDPR and the Company Secretary. Both were very well attended with some excellent insights and guidance provided by our speakers and panellists. A link to the slides from these events can be accessed here.
We continue to hold CPD events on all aspects of corporate governance and company law. Please check out our website for details of upcoming events.
Our annual table quiz was held in DTWO on Thursday 28th September 2017. It was an enjoyable evening with the current cup holders, KPMG retaining their trophy.
AGM and Annual Lunch
Our Annual General Meeting will take place on Friday 24th November 2017 at Fire Restaurant, Mansion House, Dawson Street, Dublin 2 at 11.45am.
Our annual lunch takes place at the same venue and will commence at 12.45pm. Please book early as places are limited.
Mandatory e-filing and the peak filing period
We are approaching the peak annual return filing period and as this is the first year of mandatory e-filing, it is important to ensure that your companies have registered for e-filing and that you are aware of which officers will be signing the B1 forms.
There have been a number of blogs posted over the last few months on topics relevant to company secretaries. These can be accessed here.

Calendar of Events
A calendar of events is available through the events tab of the website and I would encourage members to attend as many events as possible and to become an active member of the ICSA in Ireland. Please note that these events are also open to non-members so if you have any colleagues or friends who may be interested in attending, please urge them to come along.
