Welcome to the latest edition of Agenda.
This is my first Agenda since taking on the role of President and I am looking forward to both meeting with members and promoting the ICSA: The Governance Institute in Ireland over the next two years.
Our vision is to be become the premier Governance Institute in Ireland and to do that we require continued support from our members. If you or any member you know would like to get involved and help us achieve our vision, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I would also like to thank Ruairi Cosgrove, the immediate past President, for his leadership and dedication to the Institute over the past two years and express our gratitude to his employers, PWC, for their support during his tenure.
Over the last six weeks we have held a number of very well attended events, which are listed below:
• Annual Lunch in Fire Restaurant
• CPD Event on Emerging Technologies in PwC
Our next CPD event will cover the Senior Executive Regime and will be held on Tuesday 22nd January 2019 in Deloitte. Please check the website which has all the details of upcoming events.
Our 2019 conference will be held on 16 May and booking is now open. You can book now with the early bird offer, which is open until 28 February 2019.

I attended the ICSA Award Ceremony in London on 27 November where a range of prizes were awarded to Company Secretaries working in a variety of different industries.
If you know of any students or colleagues who might be interested in pursuing a career as a Chartered Secretary/Governance Professional, they can contact us on our email address at: email@example.com where our Regional Development Manager, John Burns will be pleased to follow up with them.
There have been a number of blogs posted over the last few months on topics relevant to Company Secretaries. View the latest blogs
A calendar of events is available through the Events tab of the website and I would encourage members and students to attend as many events as possible and to become an active member of the ICSA in Ireland. The schedule of events for the first half of 2019 will be sent to members in January 2019. Please note that these events are also open to non-members so if you have any colleagues or friends who may be interested in attending, please urge them to come along.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank William Fry Solicitors for contributing to this edition of Agenda. Should you have any queries in relation to any of the above articles please do not hesitate to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I would also like to wish you and your families a very Happy Christmas and a well-deserved break over the festive season.
President, ICSA: The Governance Institute in Ireland
