  • To increase the usage of the ICSACharteredSecretaries.ie Website and our associated social media tools such as LinkedIn and Twitter
  • To encourage members and guests to use the website as a reference point for information relating to the role of the Chartered Secretary and Corporate governance
  • To provide relevant information on the website and refresh this at weekly intervals
  • To put a process in place for regular and timely two-way electronic contact with members and web site users and ensure timely responses to email queries
  • To measure regular traffic on the ICSA website and Social media channels and report on same to Council


  • Committee set up in Q4 2013 with an initial focus on increasing the amount of regular updates to the website to at least 3/4 per month and increasing visitors to the website
  • Increased amount of events and news items being carried on the site
  • Website enhanced in Q1 2014 following extensive review with Council and also to reflect new ICSA branding
  • Council members’ biographies included on website along with details of members of all Committees
  • More emphasis on carrying reports on events held and including photos where relevant
  • Greater number of LinkedIn discussions started and subsequent responses
  • Process commenced to respond to all email queries within 48 hours
  • Publication of checklists and guidelines for Company Secretaries on the website


  • Continue updating website content regularly (at least 4 per month) on website and social media
  • Publish regular updates from Council members
  • Support Heads of Committees/Honorary Officers in terms of website content and usage
  • Generate more use of the discussion forums (Twitter and LinkedIn)
  • Measure traffic figures on the website and on the discussion forums and report accordingly to the Council
  • Seek support from ICSA London to enhance the experience of members using the website and effectively manage the impact of website content through traffic measurement techniques
  • Maintain current service response times for emails (48 hours)
  • Publishing a further set of checklists and guidelines on website
  • Establish at least 4 more professional links on the website
  • Advertise Company Secretary vacancies on the website in co-operation with ICSA London
  • Enable a payments engine onto the website
