Company Law and Practice Committee

The Company Law & Practice Committee was established by Council to promote good corporate governance by reviewing company law developments for private companies including potential impacts on the practical administration of company law in Ireland.

Objectives

  • Review the activities and proposals of governments, legislators and regulators which affect the governance of non-listed companies.
  • Assist Council of the Irish Region in proactively raising issues with government, legislators and regulators which affect the governance of non-listed companies.
  • Advise Council of the Irish Region on strategic priorities and broad and topical issues which affect the governance of non-listed companies.
  • Provide a resource for members of the Irish Region to answer questions relating to the governance of non-listed companies. Members of the Irish Region should direct their questions through the Secretary.
  • Perform any other duties and undertaking or overseeing any specific projects as requested by the Council of the Irish Region from time to time.
