Greater influence on remuneration is apparent across jurisdictions
Shareholders and the public have raised concerns about increases in directors’ pay without any clear link to a company’s actual performance. Increased disclosure of remuneration information is now required to address this and to better align the interests of shareholders and boards. Consultative votes for shareholders on the remuneration policy report was also introduced for listed companies in varying measures across all jurisdictions.
