Boards risk losing sight of committees
In a speech to the Oliver Wyman Institute Annual Conference in November 2014, Martin Taylor, an external member of the Financial Policy Committee of the Bank of England, drew attention to a ‘large, looming, silent problem’. He was referring to the ‘over-development of board committees,’ a problem which he stressed goes well beyond the banking sector.
