What Covid-19 might mean for your AGM – and how to plan for it?

Webinar

Overview

Webinar:What Covid-19 might mean for your AGM , 8th April 12:30

Please note: Due to unprecedented demand, the original webinar on 2 April is fully booked.  We have released a new date, 8 April, below.

As Covid-19 continues to spread, companies with December year ends are increasingly asking themselves how to plan for this year’s annual general meeting.

In the absence of any specific legislative solutions, it falls to companies themselves to take the actions that are appropriate for them and their stakeholders.

In this session, which is being offered in association with Slaughter & May, we look at what options are available to companies in the wake of the spread of the virus. Should they continue with the meeting as scheduled (if in modified form)? Should they delay convening the event? Or what about postponing or adjourning, or investigating a so-called “hybrid” AGM (part physical, part electronic)? We consider these options and more, and frame a series of practical measures companies can take to best manage the risk.

Your speakers for this webinar include Peter Swabey FCG, Policy & Research Director at The Chartered Governance Institute.
