EU Non-Financial Reporting Directive: the vision for compliance

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy has estimated that over 500 organisations in the UK will need to comply with new rules on non-financial disclosure from mid-2018, reporting on a range of matters, including: environmental, social, employee, human rights and anti-corruption & bribery.

The EU Non-Financial Reporting Directive (EU NFRD) intends to harmonise non-financial reporting throughout Europe to increase transparency and improve the comparability of company information.

The regulation allows for significant flexibility in the way in which companies report this information. So, what exactly is required to ensure compliance? This session will explore the detail of the regulation and offer suggestions as to how companies can report on these matters in way that will satisfy regulators and investors alike.

Confirmed speakers include;

Julie Craig, Director of Reporting, Carbon Smart
Ben Murray, Managing Director, Carbon Smart
