Charity Governance Code refresh: findings from the consultation and next steps

Webinar

Overview

The Charity Governance Code (the Code) was created ‘by the sector, for the sector’ to highlight good practice and lead on governance thinking. To ensure it remains relevant, a limited consultation exercise was run by the Code’s Steering Group from November 2019 to February 2020.

This webinar will highlight the findings of the consultation, including how best to incorporate developments in governance regarding the principles of integrity and diversity, and outline the longer-term evolution for the Code.

By attending, participants will:

  • Acquire an awareness of the current satisfaction levels with the Code and how it is used;
  • Gain an insight into how the integrity principle will be amended to reflect recent governance trends and development highlighted by consultation respondents;
  • Understand the ongoing work and development relating to the diversity principle;
  • Have an opportunity to ask questions about future plans and developments for the Code; and
  • Receive a copy of the consultation report
