She is currently is working on initial feedback to the October 2015 Discussion Paper as part of the FRC’s review of succession planning.
Catherine began her career at Bank of Scotland (later HBOS) as a graduate trainee and over the 13 years there Catherine worked in various departments, including Group Risk and Group Company Secretariat.
In 2009 she studied for a Masters degree in Corporate Governance at Kingston University, where her dissertation was on the 2010 UK Corporate Governance Code changes. The MA also qualified Catherine as a Chartered Company Secretary. Prior to the FRC, she was Assistant Company Secretary at Aon.
