Lucilia is taking part in a panel debate Practical Lessons in Crisis Management at 13.30 on Day Two.
Lucilia is a Director of Cartel Enforcement at the CMA. In this role, she has led a number of civil cartel investigations and has been heavily involved in the CMA’s policy work on cartels and leniency. Most recently, she was the Project Director for the Office fit outs cartel case, which resulted in penalties of over £7million and three individuals being disqualified from being company directors for periods of up to 5 years.
Lucilia spent two and a half years seconded to HM Treasury, advising ministers on competition law and policy during the financial crisis and its aftermath. Lucília joined the CMA from the OFT, where she dealt with a wide range of matters, including leading on a markets project and working on merger control. Prior to the OFT, Lucília worked at the European Commission (DG Competition), and as a lawyer in private practice in Brazil.
