A behavioural psychologist by background, she helps FTSE 250 boards and leadership teams prepare for the future by designing and delivering external board reviews, with a particular emphasis on the human behaviour elements that can contribute to or undermine board relationships and effectiveness.
Prior to co-founding Bvalco, Alison ran a consultancy helping organisations to understand the impact of behaviour and culture on business performance. She has also acted as a special advisor on a number of reviews including to Sir Anthony Salz, for his Review of Barclays Bank and, Sir David Walker, for his Review of Banks and Other Financial Institutions.
She is also a lead tutor and Advisory Board Member for the Financial Times Non-Executive Director Diploma, which she helped to design.
A keen sportswoman, Alison is a triple Olympian for rowing and now rides horses competitively.
