Dr Nneka Abulokwe is a board executive with experience of leading tech and digital services for some of the major multinational technology and digital transformation providers – Sopra Steria, Atos and CGI. She is passionate about the intelligent use of technology and governance to foster organisational cohesion and drive positive digital cultures. Nneka is now an independent board advisor and founder of MicroMax Consulting and serves on several boards as a non-executive director. In 2017 she was appointed Chair of the Board Nominations Committee, ISACA London and serves on the O&E Board for the British Computer Society (BCS, IT Institute).
Nneka is a Fellow of both the BCS and The Association for Project Management, APM. She holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from the Cranfield University School of Management, where she pioneered research into tech and governance. Nneka was recently awarded Officer of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2019 Queens Birthday Honours for Services to Business. She interviewed with Forbes on boardroom diversity “Why Diversity Is Too Important for CEOs to Ignore”; ranked #4 in the Financial Times 2018 top 100 ethnic minority tech executives and a finalist for ICSA’s ‘Governance Professional of the Year’ award, 2018. Nneka is a Freeman of both The City of London and the Livery Company, The Worshipful Company of Information Technologists.
