The UK Prime Minister’s proposals to crack down on boardroom excess and rebuild trust in corporate Britain received a mixed reaction from business leaders. Almost one year on from the first announcement, a panel of experts will look at the progress of the government’s corporate governance reform programme and consider how the corporate world is reacting.
Chaired by Vanessa Jones, Director, Corporate Legal Solutions Limited, and featuring input from Chris Hodge, Policy Consultant, ICSA and former Director of Corporate Governance, Financial Reporting Council and Paul George, Executive Director of Corporate Governance and Reporting Division, Financial Reporting Council, the panel discussion promises to be a no-holds barred look at what improvements could be made to corporate governance.
If you are interested in some background reading, Chris Hodge shares some thoughts about corporate governance in his thought-leadership paper on the Future of Governance ‘Untangling Corporate Governance’.
The Corporate Governance Reform session will be at 09:45 on Tuesday 4th July.
