Job title: Events Coordinator (training, member and CPD events, conferences)

Contract: Maternity cover (12 months)

Hours: full time, 35 hours per week        

Location: London EC1N

Salary: £18,000-£20,500 per annum

About the job

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Events Co-ordinator to join our busy Events team on a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. You will assist on the delivery of a range of conferences, training courses and other events providing a high quality experience for delegates and speakers. You will also have the opportunity to assist in the organisation of ICSA’s flagship events including The ICSA Awards (a prestigious event held at the Hilton Park Lane with over 700 guests), the Annual Conference at ExCel London, as well as our Graduation Ceremony at the historic Merchant’s Taylors Hall in London. ICSA also runs conferences in the Chanel Islands and Dublin and you may be also be asked to assist with the delivery of these.

About the person for the job:

  • Previous experience of working in an events environment, particularly on training courses and smaller events
  • Ability to deal with multiple tasks at one time, and prioritise workload is essential
  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills are essential
  • Ability to deal with internal and external stakeholders at all levels is essential
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure with a calm approach is essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Ability to build strong relationships with a range of parties, including speakers and suppliers, is essential
  • Ability to work well within a team as well as independently is essential
  • Ability to deal with multiple tasks at one time, and prioritise workload is essential
