ICSA evening seminar

Date: Monday 17 September 2018

We invited you to an ICSA seminar taking place on Monday 17 September 2018.

A number of topics were covered over the course of the evening, including anti money laundering, counter terrorism, corporate governance and improving stakeholder engagement. 

Speakers for the evening:

  • Indira Ramkissoon, Senior State Counsel and runner-up of the Tom Morrison Essay Competition 2018
  • Joanne Webb, Senior Manager, Corporate Governance at Aegis Limited
  • Theresa Minnie, ICSA Head of Outreach

All members and non-members were welcome to attend.

 

ICSA Trinidad and Tobago Morning Seminar

Date: Wednesday 18 October 2017

The meeting opened with Simon Osborne FCIS, ICSA CEO of the UKRIAT division, taking you through the key findings and recommendations from the recent ICSA/Henley Business School report, 'Conflict and Tension in the Boardroom'. The report contains a set of core principles to guide boardroom behaviours, and insights into making boardrooms places of collaboration, as well as of challenge and independence. 

Simon then discussed the latest thinking and developments on the future of governance, followed by a discussion on how this may impact the governance in Trinidad and Tobago.

Presented by Wayne Wood, this event provided an opportunity to understand the best practices for a successful and effective meeting.

Special guest Theresa Minnie, ICSA Head of Outreach, also gave an update from ICSA including the new minute taking guidance recently published.
