Burness Paull and Savendie have completed a corporate governance thought leadership report, discussing the future of boards in Scotland.

The paper is titled ‘Boards of the Future: What next for governance?’

Gathering thoughts and experiences from chairs, exec and non-exec directors and company secretaries of both listed and non-listed companies, we’ve addressed a number of the challenges facing them such as: increasing workload; managing regulation and reporting requirements; ensuring diversity; monitoring culture; balancing the needs of stakeholders and employees; and embracing technology.

This kicked off just before lockdown and since then, we’ve explored how boards have dealt with Covid-19 and new ways of working, and have produced this paper looking at the future of boards and what we expect directors will need to address to thrive.

This seminar will look at the outcomes covered in our paper and share these with you.

The report will be shared with participants after the event.
