About Us

ICSA Scottish Network is a networking group for the business community in Scotland. It is run by Chartered Secretaries, ICSA students and other ICSA qualified individuals with strong links to the business community. Our primary aim is to promote continuing professional development by hosting talks and seminars, organising site visits, directing ICSA students and the business community via email to other related events in their area and providing support for ICSA students. By engaging in these activities we are able to:

  • Encourage ICSA students
  • Raise the profile of the company secretary
  • Promote good relationships with other professional groups
  • Provide a regular forum for discussion and debate
  • Encourage good business and working practices
  • Promote strategic commercial awareness
If you are not on our mailing list and would like to join the mailing list or be involved in the organising committee, you are welcome to contact us at ICSAScotland@gmail.com.

Chartered Secretary Qualifying Scheme update

Date: Thursday 15 February 2018
Time: 6.00pm - 7.30pm; with registration from 5.45pm
Venue: Burness  Paul LLP, 50 Lothian Road, Edinburgh EH3 9WJ

We will be introducing a new syllabus for our qualifying scheme in autumn 2019. Our first priority is to make sure that, as a current student, you know what’s changing, how it may affect you, and exactly what your next steps should be. It is important to us that your studies are not disrupted by these changes and that you move seamlessly from the current syllabus to the new one.

Your exam results will be available online on 30 January. Later that week, please look out for a letter from ICSA advising you which modules you should take in the following examination sessions. There will be three further examination sessions before the syllabus changes, which will make it easy for you to plan for a smooth transition. Once you have received your letter, our student support team will be on hand to answer any further questions that you have.

We also thought that you might appreciate attending a short presentation and Q&A session about the changes and why we are introducing them. These sessions will be taking place across the UK, Ireland and the Crown Dependencies in late January and early February ahead of making your decisions about what to study next. If you’d like to come along, please book your place using the link provided.

We look forward to seeing you there.
