NHS PCT Secretaries' Forum
The ICSA NHS PCT secretaries' forum seeks to:
- raise awareness and understanding of good governance, compliance and administration within NHS PCTs
- represent the views of PCT secretaries through initiating discussion and responding to consultation documents
- promote and develop the role of the PCT secretary
- offer support and professional development to those holding the key governance role in their organisation; and
- organise meetings that will not only enable members to examine their own practice but also network with others.
The forum is open to members and non-members of ICSA, but is restricted to those performing the key governance support function in NHS primary care trusts and emerging clinical commissioning groups.
These notes listed below are a very broad record of the discussions of the above forum. They are drafted in such a manner to draw attention to the general issues facing the trust secretary role, while respecting the Chatham House rule under which discussions took place.
