Nigerian students

We would like to offer a particularly warm welcome to our Nigerian colleagues and students.

Following discussion and agreement, the international headquarters of ICSA in London and ICSAN in Nigeria are pleased to announce that ICSAN will continue to offer registration, guidance and support to Nigerian students wishing to register for ICSA’s CSQS international qualification. This represents the continuation of ICSA and ICSAN’s long association of working together to support Members and students in Nigeria.

ICSA’s Chartered Secretaries Qualifying Scheme (CSQS) is internationally recognised and is the passport to a variety of leading careers in industries and countries right across the globe. Studying CSQS brings a wide range of benefits.

Once you have completed the CSQS scheme, you will achieve Graduate status and be entitled to use the title GradICSA in your future career, subject to maintaining your graduate status. You can then progress to full Membership of the Institute (ACIS) and in due course to Fellowship (FCIS).

Nigerian students wishing to register for CSQS and become qualified as a Chartered Secretary worldwide should contact either the offices of ICSAN (telephone + 234 7358181, 7358182 email info@icsan.org) or ICSA headquarters direct by email to studentsupport@icsaglobal.com or visit our Register page.

Exam confirmation process
Registered students can enrol to take the CSQS exam by submitting an application via the offices of ICSAN in Nigeria or directly with the ICSA.

If you have submitted an application to enrol to take the CSQS exams via the offices of ICSAN in Nigeria- and you have not received confirmation of your registration from ICSA directly- please contact us immediately via email to studentsupport@icsaglobal.com or telephone us directly on 00 44 (0)207 580 4741 and choose option 1.

SUCCESSFUL MEETING BETWEEN ICSA AND ICSAN

A senior delegation of members of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Nigeria (ICSAN) met Honorary Officers and an executive team from ICSA on Thursday, 21 July 2011 at the Institute’s international Headquarters in London. The Nigerian delegation comprised   Mr. Olatunde Busari, President of ICSAN, Past President Mr. Hakeem D. Ogunniran , Past President Mr. Nosike Agokei, and ICSAN Registrar and Chief Executive, Mr. Dele Togunde.

The ICSA representatives included ICSA UK President Mr. Martin Jacob, International immediate Past President Mr. Andy Cowe, International Past President Mr. Gavin Downs, Clerk to Council Russell Morrice and other members of the Senior Management Executive team.

The meeting explored how to further develop relations between the Nigerian Institute and ICSA to the mutual benefit of both Institutes. The long historical ties between both bodies were noted. The Nigerian delegation emphasised the need to understand the “Nigerian context” for ICSA’s policies and activities in Nigeria.

The opportunities and importance of mutual recognition were confirmed and it was agreed that both Institutes would work together on developing opportunities for members and students of both bodies and  explore joint collaboration on leadership in governance.
