Postgraduate Certificate in Charity Management

The pace of legislative change and the increasing demands being placed on charities in the new millennium mean that anyone involved with a charity needs to understand the complex administrative and financial governance environment in which they operate.

The ICSA Postgraduate Certificate in Charity Management is designed to provide an understanding of core areas of charity management, including charity law, finance and the environment in which charities operate.

If you are a trustee or are currently working in an administrative role in the charitable sector, this course will provide you with the specialist expertise that you require in an accessible and practical manner.

The programme is offered by face-to-face tuition at London South Bank University.

Admission Guidance

Candidates should normally be educated to degree level and have some experience of the charity sector or be planning to transfer into the sector from business or the public sector. At the discretion of the Course Director, mature applicants without a degree who can demonstrate several years' experience of the sector, either in a paid or voluntary capacity, will be accepted. A reference or other evidence may be sought to confirm academic ability to undertake a course of study.

On successful completion of the course, you will be eligible for direct entry onto any of the ICSA's Diploma programmes. Entry to the LSBU's Masters’ programme with appropriate exemption from up to three units is also permitted.
