What We Do

The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) is the professional qualifying body for company secretaries. ICSA works closely with governmental and regulatory bodies to promote and support best practice in all areas of corporate governance and, through its subsidiary companies, provides information and training, boardroom evaluation and software.

Introduction to Companies Act

The Companies Act received Royal Assent in November 2006 and all of its provisions must be implemented by October 2009. The role of the ICSA is to provide guidance and information to help companies understand the implications of the Act.  This website is designed as a 'one stop shop' where visitors will be able to download guidance notes, see what the latest developments are on the Act and find out more about the schedule of topical training events we have planned.  We hope you will find this site useful in establishing what impact the Act will have on your organisation.
