UK Committee Members 2011

Honorary Officers:

 

President,  Ron Rosenhead MBE, FCIS

Ron is ICSA’s President and has served on the UK Committee, International Council and the Audit committee since 2010; previously he was a member of the Education Committee and has been Chairman and Treasurer of the Institute’s Wessex Branch/Group. Following a career in the Army he took up a Finance Director appointment and his portfolio of tasks revolves around property and asset management in the United Kingdom and United States.  He is also a Trustee of two Army related charities.  

 

 

 

Vice President & Treasurer, Frank Curtiss FCIS

Frank Curtiss is Head of Corporate Governance at RAILPEN Investments, which he joined in 1990 and has been responsible for corporate governance since 1997. Prior to 1990, he worked in the UK university sector as an accountant and started his career in finance with Williams & Glyn’s Bank.  He is a member of CIMA and an ICSA Fellow and was appointed to the ICSA Council in May 2010. He has also served on the judging panel of the ICSA Hermes Transparency in Governance Awards in 2009, 2010 and 2011.

 

 

Vice President,  John Woodhead

John has been a member of the ICSA UK Committee and the ICSA International Council since 2006. His career included a twelve-year period as Company Secretary and Senior Manager, Personnel, of an international consortium bank based in the City of London. He was also Association Secretary of a National Charity for a period of five years. More recently, he has acted as a Chartered Secretary in Public Practice, principally in the charity sector.

 

 

 

Vice President,  Alan Theakston

 

Alan is a past UK and International President and served for six years on the Professional Standards Committee. He is also a trustee of the ICSA Pension Fund. Most of his career was spent as a director and group company secretary of Ropner PLC , a property, engineering, insurance and shipping company listed on the stock exchange and more recently he has been operations director for a firm of solicitors and company secretary to several colleges.

 

 

Immediate Past President, Martin Jacob

Martin Jacob is ICSA’s Past President and Chair of the Audit Committee. He is the former Chair of the Admissions Committee and has served on numerous other ICSA committees. Martin is currently head of the corporate and legal department of Deloittes in the Republic of Ireland and has extensive experience in company secretarial and corporate governance practice.
