ICSA Prize Fund

Registered Charity Number 1048726

The Fund is governed by a Charity Commission Scheme dated 24 March 1995. This brought together twenty-five prize funds connected with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, enabling them to be managed and administered together as a single charity.

ICSA Prize Fund Grant Aid Policy

The ICSA Prize Fund provides prizes to students obtaining the highest achievements in the Institute's examinations.  Trustees have delegated authority to the Institute's Education Committee, to allocate Prizes to the most appropriate module, having regard where possible, for the original purpose of the Prize.

Prizes allocated are evaluated and monitored to ensure accordance with the objects of the Fund and to the benefactor's wishes.

Up to 16 Named Prizes are awarded at each of the two examination diets for the International Qualifying Scheme and Certificate and Diploma in Business Practice to a total annual amount of £3,200.  Prizes are awarded on the basis of best performance and an achievement criterion of 75%. If candidates do not achieve 75% then the prize is not awarded.

The student with the best performance at each examination session is also recognised by the awarding of the Ralph Bell Prize of £100, which forms part of the Education and Research Foundation.  The candidate should have completed their chosen syllabus at the examination session, and taken more than one exam at the session.
